Overcoming The Dip & Staying True

FINAL CHAPTER

Welcome to the final chapter of our guide and arguably the most important. You're going to want to give up, everyone does. What separates the winners from everyone else is that they don't. We discuss this & more in the final chapter.

What is the DIP?

“Jon, what is this dip you speak of?” The dip, my friends, is the area that most creators give up and walk away from their YouTube channel. Let’s make sure that you don’t fall into that category.

Work hard, and then keep working.
the-dip

When you first start YouTube, you’re excited and optimistic, as you should be. It’s easy to see initial results in the beginning. When you start from zero views and zero subscribers, getting your first 10 or 20 views will seem like a lot. It’s easy to see results early on, but as things do inevitably grow and the excitement wears off, you may feel they’re not growing “enough,” not happening as fast as you’d hoped. That’s when uncertainty sets in and you start to feel like you’re doing something wrong and that you’re working too hard for too little. You really want to be successful and you really believe that your content is worth watching, but nobody seems to be watching it. Now, you’re not having fun anymore and it seems like you’re just wasting your time. Welcome to “the dip”.

During this time, 90% of creators will decide to give up and walk away, and honestly, I strongly believe that YouTube isn’t for those people. Listen, if YouTube was easy, nobody would be working 9-5 jobs anymore. If you want to make it, if you want to be successful, you have to make it out of the dip. I promise you, that if you work as hard as you can and you maintain that same effort, even in your “dip”, your work will pay off. I don’t care how long you’re in that slump. If you really want it, make it happen, because no one is going to make it happen for you.

If you’re one of the few lucky ones to make it out and push through the bad times, you’ll be amazed at the type of success you’ll see. You’ll be amazed at the type of growth and opportunity will come of all your hard work. Trust me now, and you’ll thank me later.

Hopefully these tips have helped you and have shifted your mindset when it comes to creating and developing a YouTube channel. Remember, if it was easy, EVERYONE would have a YouTube channel. YouTube is an amazing platform and you are full of potential. If anything these are what I want you to take away from this guide:

Create content that you’d want to watch.

Stay consistent.

Stay true to yourself.

Success will follow.

Hopefully, I stumble on one of your videos one day. 🙂
